Dental Checkups & Cleanings
Our dental checkups and teeth cleanings include a comprehensive exam from Dr. Lee that incorporates the use of digital X-rays to see what lies beneath the gumline. We’ll also use our Panorex X-ray to conduct an oral cancer screening. Once the doctor discusses his findings with you, he and our hygienist will determine which type of cleaning you need so that your teeth and gums remain healthy.
Children’s Dentistry
Dr. Lee is pleased to be a family dentist who sees children ages 10 and older. We believe that the earlier good oral habits begin, the greater the chances that better dental health will continue into adulthood. We’ll not only check for cavities and gum disease but also closely monitor your child’s bite and oral and facial development so that we can provide immediate treatment if needed.
Fluoride Treatment
To enjoy a cavity-free smile, our team can offer fluoride treatments during regular dental checkups and cleanings. As nature’s cavity fighter, this mineral is highly effective in strengthening existing tooth enamel while making sure harmful decay stays at bay. We commonly recommend a topical fluoride application to children, but adults can also benefit, especially if we find you are at a higher risk for cavities.
Dental Sealants
Kids often have a difficult time cleaning those hard-to-reach areas of the mouth (i.e., molars and premolars); however, we have a solution that can better protect these teeth from plaque and tartar. With dental sealants, we can quickly apply a clear coating over the chewing surfaces that contain multiple grooves and crevices. Their ability to last up to 10 years will ensure that bacteria do not penetrate the enamel and lead to cavities.
Nightguards for Bruxism
When asleep, you may not notice that you grind or clench your teeth. This common yet unhealthy habit can take a toll on your smile over time if left untreated. This is why we offer customized nightguards for bruxism. Whether it is brought on by stress, sleep apnea, a misaligned bite, or temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD), this device can protect your teeth from further wear and tear and reduce jaw discomfort by serving as a barrier when worn throughout the night.
