Tony Lee, DMD
I am committed to providing the highest quality of preventive, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry, while focusing on oral health and educating the individuals in my care.
Dentistry, for me, is about helping people and transforming smiles. I was drawn to the dental field as a child. I wanted to be in healthcare and liked the idea of working with my hands, combining science, medicine, and art, and creating genuine relationships with people.
I have practiced dentistry for roughly a decade and a half; I especially enjoy serving the community in this city I call home, and building real connections with every interaction.
I understand that going to the dentist makes many people nervous: My team and I strive to maintain a warm and comfortable environment for everyone, through compassion and empathy, and caring for the well-being of the individual, beyond their dental needs.
We know that sometimes the first step toward taking control of one’s oral health is offering people a chance to stop by the office, take a look around, and meet with myself and my team.
I invite you to give us a call or pop in; I look forward to meeting you!
I grew up in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, and attended Ole Miss for my Bachelor of Science. I was accepted at the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry, where I was awarded my Doctorate of Medical Dentistry. I stayed on at U of M to complete a rigorous general practice residency in order to strengthen my knowledge and skills further.
One of the most exciting aspects of dentistry, I feel, is the ongoing research that leads to new technologies and therapies. Through continuing education, I stay abreast of the latest developments: studying the newest options and incorporating the best into the services I offer.
Most recently I have focused on TMJ-TMD and facial pain, with courses offered by the American Academy of Facial Esthetics.
Additionally, I am an active member of the American Dental Association, St. Augustine Dental Society, and Northeast District Dental Association. These organizations provide a number of continuing education options, from meetings and lectures to seminars and publications.
Beyond the Office
I’ve called St. Augustine home for many years and am glad to be raising a family here. I live with my fiancée, Cheryl, who’s also my practice administrator, two of three daughters (Hanna, Emma, Gayle), and our dog Lilly.
Most of my free time is devoted to my family. I also enjoy reading, fishing, and kayaking, the local theme parks, and attending local sporting events. I love watching movies, too: one of my favorite characters is Hermey, the elf from the movie “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” who dreamed of being a dentist rather than making toys!
Beyond the home, I enjoy family travels and exploring new-to-us places, eating in restaurants that offer something a little unusual, and visiting attractions that expose us to different cultures.
I happily set aside time to be the dental provider for the women living at the Alpha-Omega Miracle Home and volunteer at the Good Samaritan Wildflower Clinic, too. I believe God gave me a talent and I should use that talent, to the best of my ability, to help others. It is an honor to have that opportunity.
